On Tuesday, 7th February Elizabeth Pool paid a visit to "Virgen de la Quinta Angustia", the primary school in Cacabelos. She met with two classes of the first grade to teach English. The students listened as Elizabeth read stories in English and practiced the vocabulary from the story. Later on, she taught them some tongue twisters in English. The students got the chance to practice saying the tongue twisters with Elizabeth and then on their own.
They enjoyed the challenging activity of trying to say the words as fast as possible. Then, Elizabeth gathered the students in a circle to play some games.
They got the chance to practice basic vocabulary of the body,
corresponding movements and phrases. The first graders enjoyed being
able to move and wiggle around while learning at the same time.
