AMERICAN BREAKFAST WITH JOE

Joe believes that it's not a good idea to think and learn on an empty stomach, so he didn't think twice and went straight to the kitchen
He prepared delicious pancakes with maple syrup, nutella and  raspberry jam. Yummy!!
The students read about the traditional American breakfast and tasted it as well.
And for those who want to keep it up, here is Joe's recipe for homemade pancakes.
Pancakes
Ingredients for the batter:
225 g flour
30 g sugar
5 g salt
300 ml full-fat or half-fat milk
1 egg
10 g baking powder or baking soda
45 g melted butter

Whisk together the milk and egg, then whisk in the melted butter. Add the other ingredients. Beat until you have a smooth batter. Any lumps will soon disappear with a little mixing.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and add a knob of butter. When it's melted, add a ladle of batter. It should be thick. When the top of the pancake begins to bubble, turn it over and cook until both sides are golden brown. The pancake should look thick and fluffy.
This recipe will make about 8-10 pancakes.
Serve with lashings of maple syrup, butter, nutella or raspberry jam.
They taste best fresh out the pan.
